In the context of criminal justice systems, digital evidence has raised numerous issues, including the methods of discovery of communications, the transfer of evidence to other states, and its use in criminal proceedings, as well as the question of the validity and admissibility of such evidence. The analysis of legal standards and practice in BiH reveals that it is necessary to improve criminal procedural laws and develop court practices when it comes to digital evidence and investigations.
