Trilateral Meeting Between Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro on a Regional Asset Sharing Agreement

Trilateral meeting between Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro was organised on 10 and 11 February 2020 in Belgrade, Serbia, to discuss the possibility of a regional asset sharing agreement. The meeting was organised by the AIRE Centre in partnership with the Regional Anti-Corruption initiative (RAI) and with the support of the UK Government.

The meeting was attended by asset recovery specialists, practitioners, judges and decisionmakers from Serbia, Montenegro and across BiH. The participants discussed proposals for a regional asset sharing agreement including the type of property that would be subject to such an agreement, its application to cultural property and its relationship to digital property including cryptocurrencies.

The event was organised under the auspices of the AIRE Centre’s regional project dedicated to strengthening regional cooperation in asset recovery, aiding the fight against corruption and organised crime.
