AIRE Centre in partnership with the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative (RAI) and with the support of the UK Government, organised a peer-to-peer visit to the UK for the purpose of developing an international perspective on good practices in asset recovery. Visit took place between 20 – 24 May 2019.

The visit was attended by prosecutors, judges, representatives of justice institutions and assert recovery experts from across South East Europe. Participants visited and gained insight from speakers at Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs’ Risk and Intelligence Service, the National Crime Agency’s national and international economic crime and corruption departments, money laundering experts at Southwark Crown Court and the Crown Prosecution Service.

The event was organised under the auspices of the AIRE Centre’s regional project dedicated to strengthening regional cooperation in asset recovery practice with the aim of bolstering the fight against corruption and organised crime.
